Note: This entry has been marked with a later date so it can stay at the top of my entires. ^_^ That way I can see if I need to add new friends or not. ;D

So yeah. I need to have my journal as friends only because I've had some past experiences where some people read my journal... and I didn't *want* them to. They just stumbled across it. And I don't want that to happen again, cause that was just icky. I also want to see who is interested in reading my journal. Make note that I'm just another teenager that has no control when it comes to ranting, so some "bad language" might be involved. ;) And I babble.

Overall I want to see who's interested in reading about my everyday life.

There will be some public entries, though, just to note.

So read over my user info and see if we share any common interests. If we do, then most likely I'll add ya in! ;D

In order to be part of my lovely list... just comment to be added!

I figured I should make this post public since it's a pretty cool site. ProgressiveU.org is this cool site I've been blogging on for the past week about social issues and world events (something you get pretty into in Government). I've posted two blogs so far so if people can sign up and read them, that'd be awesome!

http://www.progressiveu.org/blog/greenmuse89

And a little press release:

For Immediate Release
October 20, 2006

Progressive U offers students the opportunity to blog for scholarship funds

San Mateo, CA – Progressive U, an online blogging site and social welfare organization, is announcing the start of its Fall 2006 “Blogging for Progress Scholarship” contest. From October 1 to December 4, high school and college students have opportunity to create a blog and write about current events and social issues, ranging from global warming to discrimination to nuclear proliferation.

Students have the opportunity to win up to $1,000 in scholarships for their post-secondary education. Scholarship winners will be selected based on an accumulation of participation points throughout the contest period. To learn more about the contest, go to www.progressiveu.org.

ProgressiveU.org received over 2 million hits during its Spring 2006 “Blogging for Progress Scholarship” competition, with members posting more than 10,000 blog posts.

“We were blown away by the enthusiasm of students during the spring scholarship contest, and by their success in making their voices heard. Many blog posts received thousands of hits and dozens, or even hundreds, of comments from all over the world,” said Art Morgan, one of the founders of Progressive U.

Progressive U encourages students to become the next generation of leaders and influencers, and provides a place to communicate their thoughts about social problems, economic issues, and cultural conflict.

“Students write about a huge range of topics, but the main focus is on issues that affect society – that’s what sets Progressive U apart from sites like MySpace or other blogging sites,” said Morgan.

As Progressive U bloggers students become “citizen journalists,” but they develop skills that will prepare them for careers in a broad variety of fields. Students can create innovative solutions to social problems and act as ambassadors in their communities, which can make an immediate yet lasting impact on society.

For more information about Progressive U, go to www.progressiveu.org.

Oh where, oh where is my flist!? Not saying that everyone needs to comment every time (cause my entries are long, pointless, and boring). I'm just wondering where everyone is... :/

Just posted Chapter 2 of "When It All Comes Down" on L&BA.

I'm such a neglecting author, I swear.

But then again, school started so I've been slow, trying to get back into the entire groove of things.

So school today was alright. I got back my math homework with a few errors, but I fixed them and went into Mr. Plant's room during lunch to resubmit it. He was glad I did that. But in class today, wow... he explained things VERY well, and finally probably for once in my mathematical career I got a grasp of things. I love teachers like that. Who simplify things to the level where us demented high school students can understand it. So I'm actually excited about math tomorrow. It's not too bad of a class. I'm glad I'm not talking Calculus this year. It would be hell.

Foods. Just a worksheet.

Chem. Bookwork.

PE. Lockers.

Spanish. Worksheet. Blah.

English. Essay.

After school I went back to pick up my sister at her school, stopped by to say hi to my old teacher, who she has for a writing class. Now I can help her for the year cause I don't have a seventh period. How cool. She gave me M&M's for helping just write something on the board. Wow. She musta really liked me. ^_^

Now I'm about to collapse on myself. So goodnight all.

Another note... cause I feel like writing one.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Austin Monaghan...

On behalf of the fans, I want to thank you for bringing your son, Dominic Bernard Patrick Luke Monaghan, into the world. He's someone that I personally look up to and is one of the few Hollywood actors I truley admire for being who he is. Just watching interviews and reading articles and such... he always brings a smile to my face. But I know without you two, he wouldn't be half the man who he is today. So thank you for raising him to be such a wonderful person. :D

Sincerely, a big fan of your youngest son in California,
Aki

YAY FOR NEW COMPUTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to download the rest of my programs on here and then I'm set. *Jumps around*

So for those who haven't figured it out yet, I'm on my new computer. So it won't black out on me and it won't spazz/die on me either. I'm happy. :D

So for school... as some of you might have read earlier, I woke up *too* early for a late start day and went to school. Math was alright, a bit more proactive than past years which is good. Foods was boring... however there was a funny story...

My teacher told us to write down whatever word came up to the top of our heads whenever she said something. This was *bad* for me, cause I was on a Dom high from staring at my Chemistry binder for most of the class period. Anyway... I was find up until she read the word, "chocolate".

And then my mind made its daily trip to the gutter. It had never gone into the gutter at... mmm... around 10 AM? o.O Since I knew we were sharing our answers, I didn't write what I thought. Instead, I wrote, "Dark". Pfft. Like THAT'S what I first thought of.

And then she said "potato". For some flair, I put down "LOTR:TT". Heh. Taters. Yes precious. Po-ta-toes. Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew. I had to explain that one.

Chem = boring. We barely do anything in there. At least I'm done with that STUPID PROJECT! >_< Now just to memorize the elements.

PE... omg. So funny today. And when I talked to Spinola about whether or not I needed a new letter for my knee, he suddenly remembers me from last year on a brief encounter and exclaims, "I KNOW YOU! YOU'RE THE SNAKE LADY!!!!" For those who can't remember, I'll just write it out. Last year towards the end of the school year I skin dived on the concrete slab close to the baseball diamond to get a 3 1/2 foot gopher snake. I've been a laughing stock ever since, but who gives a shit, really? But then he got on this whole thing about my snake thing and we talked a bit. Then I asked about archery and when we're doing it. Since Spinola has a master's from Stanford, he doesn't like Cal too much like the rest of the community. So when he found out that I took archery lessons at Stanford, he's like, "I like you already!" Phew. I'm on his good side. Maybe I can get away with three days of no knee insurance sort.

Spanish is like torture. But whatever, I got through it. English went by surprisingly quickly. And then I was home. And worked on homework. Until now.

*Runs off to make a new DOM background*

EDIT: Ohhh... by the way, I came up with an idea for the birthday scrapbook for Dom that Project Monaghan's doing. Hopefully it'll all fit on one page... it's a cute idea. ^_^ Let's just say... "Some Reasons Why Dominic Monaghan is a Really Cool Guy..." :P

EDIT AGAIN: DOM (as Charlie Potts) Background!!!!

*Ahem...*

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME???? IT IS 6:45 IN THE MORNING AND I'M UP! I'VE BEEN UP SINCE 6! AND IT'S A LATE START DAY!

< /rant >

*headsmack to finish it off*

Like seriously... my alarm clock woke me up at 5:30 but I went back to sleep, but I got up a little before 6 and kept trying to go back to sleep, but nothing worked. So I forced myself out of bed at 6. *This* was only because I've been trying to establish a routine of going to bed/getting up at the same time as the day before. Yesterday I failed to go to bed the same time, cause PreCalc was bugging me (however I managed to figure it out with the help of Dad, who came back home at 11... so I stayed up till around then) and also I decided to be nice and fold the laundry for a change so my mother didn't have to do it.

*Yawns*

I hope my eyes stay open for the day. And that maybe I can do something fun like writing when I come back home from school.

But alas.

Christine (if you read this)... I had to reread your report again. As much as I love your mum's article and bow to her because she arranged an interview in the first place, I am in love with YOUR report. ^_^ Such a cool experience. And a cute picture! *Squee* And I think I just woke up after thinking about how Dom's lips move when he's drinking through... a... *heavily pants*... straw...

Oh hot diggidy damn. O.O

Okay... I've managed to come out of my first day as a sophomore *alive*. This... in my world... is quite amazing.

Here's my schedule and a bit of side commenting about the teachers, classmates, etc, etc...

Period 1 - PreCalculus - Mr. Plant - OMFG!!!!!!!!!!! HE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And he's got a really cool British accent. ^_^ Anyway, the class is made up of mostly juniors and a few seniors, and there's only one other freshman in my class. Other than that, it seems like it'll be a good year. Challenging, but good. And we get to start homework in class. The classroom full of flamingos that is. But I know it'll be a love/hate relationship with that class. Cause seriously... after tonight's homework... I seriously felt so stupid going through it. Like problem number six with the three equations with three variables can die. I just took a gander at it and will fix it tomorrow in class. I think I did get the answers right... just the proceedure is quite a blur. And just hopefully I'll pass the class with A's... >_<

Period 2 - Foods 1 - Mrs. Sias - Interesting class. The first quarter will be made up of nutrition. And the class is mainly sophomores and freshmen. Ick. Hopefully I won't burn anything too badly in that class. But we have to get bloody textbooks. WHO HAS BLOODY TEXTBOOKS IN FOODS CLASS? I MEAN REALLY!!!!!

Period 3 - Chemistry - Ms. Moore - That class. Is. Such. A. Bore. The teacher talks really slow (even though she says she talks fast), and the math we did in the beginning just put me to sleep. I can't wait till we get to do some labs. Although we're guranteed we won't blow up anything. Bugger. And we already have a project. But it's due on Friday. But how does that work? ARGH.

Period 4 - PE/Health 10 - Mr. Spinola - Alright. So maybe I overreacted about having him cause he's cool. And funny. But I still have to talk to him about my knee and all. Hopefully I'll be let off the hook cause seriously... it hurts just thinking about it. Classmates wise I've got like... one good friend in there. Other than that... ugh. Not too many people to hang out with. But I heard that there might be archery? *Dances* I'll kick some people's butts at that. I haven't done it for a while. I need to start it up again, and hopefully not get a bruise the size of Texas (no offense to all my Texas friends) ^_^.

Period 5 - Spanish 3 - Senora Ghazarossian - SHE TALKS SO EFFING FAST!!!!!!!!! And I swear. I must have done the homework wrong or something tonight. Cause it doesn't feel right. Eeep... and I can't believe I can't speak a thing of English in that class. This will *definitely* suck. Classmate wise... meh. Few friends. Not too many.

Period 6 - English 2 - Mr. Koscuich (sp?) - He's cool. Definitely cool. He's from South Africa and has a good sense of humor. It's kinda funny how I start and end my day with teachers that posess some form of an accent. And I think it'll be a fun year. We're starting off with writing (MY STRONG POINT!) and then starting Catcher in the Rye. For some reason, I can't stand reading comprehension. Well blah. Classmate wise... it's a lot more people I know than I thought I would expect. Mr. Koscuich was talking about how my school's the 5th best public high school in California, which is considered the 5th top "country" with the best economy, and how he wants to teach at my school cause of that. And he wants to be able to tell people he knows these famous/smart people/leaders when he retires. He pointed to me and said when I become president, he wants to say that he taught me. Only problem is... technically I can't *be* president unless they change the rule of being born inside the country. But whatever. Sounds like a fun class.

Period 7 - None. WOO!

So there's my overview of the first day of school. Hopefully after some rest, maybe my brain will clear up to clarify that stupid math homework. And then maybe after school tomorrow, I can actually do something *fun* afterwards...

Ugh. But I have that stupid Chem homework. >_< *Stabs it*

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I have a brilliant idea for this whole upcoming Lost thing.

So you know that I'm really frustrated that there's going to be a fad with Dom? Well... knowing the population of my school, and how Dom's fame will be more dispersed after Lost... I've come up with a shirt idea. Here it is.

Front: *show a pic of Dom* "If you think this guy is the new it..."
Back: "...apparently you're amongst the slow asses. *show the entire filmography*"

And then wear it the day Lost premieres. ^_^

I fear that after Lost airs, my chem binder will be attacked by some beastly savage fangirls that only follow trends... *eye roll*

I made some new icons today precious!

I'm trying to redo Linden's layout, but the header and side content hate me. Blarg.

Have not been productive today because it's the last day of summer. And frankly, being productive is what tomorrow's for. Ugh. School. I can't believe I have to go back. So here's my summer highlights list...

[x] Going shopping... a lot... but learning the meaning of "self control"
[x] Working with kids a lot more this summer and realizng I'm not that evil of a person
[x] NO BALLET!!!!!
[x] Realization how fun it is to have a free schedule
[x] Learning a bit of German... I'm still working on it!
[x] My first Dom fan fic! WOO!!! And it exceeded the length of my 214 page novel (which was double spaced. When I double space "How Does It Feel?" it's like 240 some pages I think? o.O)
[x] Working at Oakland Zoo for a week. And learning that maybe zoo keeping is not my career of choice.

That's not quite long of a list. Cause really... yeah. I had quite a boring summer. But whatever. I get to write more during the school year, which is what I love to do now.

Now I'm going to go decorate my English binder. With "stuff" (courtesy of Justine). >_
